My revolving bookcase lets you keep a whole bookshelf full of books close at hand next to your desk, couch or reading chair. With twelve 8 1/2" wide compartments on its three 12" high shelves there is space for up to 8 1/2 feet of books or magazines and the clever design means you'll never need bookends. The rugged ball bearing turntable is rated for 1000 pounds ensuring that the bookcase will revolve easily even when fully loaded. This design is also available in a smaller model with only two 12" high shelves and a total height of 28 1/4".
These bookcases are also available in kit form for those who are experienced enough at woodworking to do the finishing and assembly themselves. All parts are precut and sanded and all the joints have been cut. Simply apply the finish of your choice and assemble the bookcase. All you'll need is the finish, some wood glue, 4 bar clamps, a drill and 1/4" drill bit, a coping or other small hand saw, a phillips head screwdriver and a few spare hours. Complete assembly instructions as well as instructions on how to apply a beautiful oil and wax finish are included. Not only will you save some money but you'll also get the enjoyment and satisfaction of putting it together yourself.
