This desk was designed by a local architect who had built himself one out of plywood and 2 x 4's and had been using it years. He finally decided to have it "done right". The cherry for the desk was from trees he had cut off his own land, milled and air dried. I occasionally use lumber provided by customers. When the lumber is air dried I keep it in my shop until it is dry enough to use.
